N.T’s Newest 4-Wheel Drive destination opens!
The Northern Territory’s newest 4-wheel driving, camping and accommodation venue is “Ambalindum Station”.
Situated 125 kms North-East of Alice Springs, Ambalindum Station is a large cattle station of over 3,000 square kilometres, encompassing approximately 800 kms of private 4WD roads and tracks through some of Central Australia’s most spectacular scenery.
Old Ambalindum Homestead is the hub of the operations, and offers 4-Wheel drivers and off-road caravaners and campers a range of accommodation facilities from camp and van sites (some powered), to air-conditioned bunkhouse rooms, to comfortable newly renovated accommodation in the large ‘Old Ambalindum Homestead” itself.
Well-known ex-‘Australian Safari’guru Bob Carpenter and wife Lois are behind the new operation, so it will come as no surprise that 4-wheel drivers will be able to expect the very best in off-roading opportunities.
Located on the NT Government’s newly-promoted “Binns Track”, Ambalindum Station and Old Ambalindum Homestead offers Binns Track travellers a great stop-off point, and a unique chance to enjoy some of the best 4-wheel driving there is in the Red Centre.
