4WDs are designed and manufactured overseas, but the Long Ranger has been purpose-built for Australian driving conditions and is covered by a 3 year warranty - so you won't get caught out when you're outback!

Long Ranger fuel tanks are available either as a replacement of the original unit or as an auxiliary to it. In certain vehicles, both a replacement and an auxiliary can be fitted for those extra long trips in remote areas.

Constructed from 2mm aluminised steel, Long Ranger tanks are Mig welded during manufacture. Baffles are fitted at the time of manufacture, as are fuel pick-up and breather outlets. Fuel expansion capacity is catered for in the design.

4WD World outlets can offer advice relating to the most suitable Long Ranger tank for your vehicle. They also offer specialised fitting service (in most instances, the original exhaust system is retained).

A Long Ranger replacement or auxiliary tank means fuel is carried where it does not hinder 4WD use, and there is no loss of ground clearance. In some instances, a suspension upgrade will improve the 4WD due to the extra weight to be carried.

This should not be seen as a negative, as we recommend most 4WDs require suspension upgrades or improvements before serious off roading or a major outback trip is planned.
