DPCHIP IMPROVES DP-31 CHIP FOR COMMON RAIL DIESELS

DPChip today announced new improved design features in 2007 for the DP-31 Chip  for common rail diesels.

The new-look DP-31 chip features include:

• New 2007 design
• More compact for easier installation and less obtrusive visually
• Faster processing speeds for even greater tuning accuracy
• Encrypted software for authorised laptop adjustment only
• Same DPChip reliability and warranty. 

The new DP-31 Chip is now available and more compact.  It measures 73mm long x 55mm wide, allowing even greater tuning accuracy.  The DP-31 is still user adjustable via a 10 position rotary selector.  Software for laptop tuning has been encrypted and instead of the USB port used in the previous design a special tuning cable is now required for this advanced tuning.  Laptop tuning is only available at selected authorised distributors.

Most new diesel engine developments now incorporate common rail technology.  Vehicles such as the new Hilux, Pathfinder, Navara, Land Rover Discovery 3, TD6 and TDV6, CRD Terracan and CRD Cherokee to name a few , feature a new high-pressure common-rail fuel system resulting in increased performance, lower emissions, and improved fuel economy, often from smaller engines.

Even greater power increases and fuel economy benefits are now possible by adding the DPChip diesel tuning computer to your engine.  This small device simply intercepts the signal going to the fuel pump and “tunes” your engine in real time providing safe power gains of up to 35% and fuel economy improvements of up to 10%.
