NEW SPORTS TYRE FOR LUXURY 4WDS

American tyre manufacturer, Cooper Tires, has released a new tyre designed specifically for luxury 4WDs and the new wave of crossover station wagons and sedans.
Called the Discoverer HP Sport, the tyre features a unique directional tread pattern with excellent water evacuation grooves, giving quicker steering response and exceptional handling on both wet and dry bitumen. Suiting wheel sizes up to 18 inches, the Discoverer HP (High Performance) is targeted to meet the high expectations of buyers of luxury 4WDs such as the Mercedes ML Series, BMW X5, Range Rover, Lexus and Jeep Grand Cherokee V8. It will also suit owners of most popular 4WDs such as Landcruiser, where road performance is a priority.
Deep tread depth is Cooper Tyre's specialty with all their 4WD tyre range. The new HP Sport boasts a safe tread depth of 9.5mm, far deeper than the original equipment tyres which average only 5.5 to 7 mm. This results in better performance overall, but especially in adverse situations such as mud, snow and wet, sealed surfaces.
"The tread depth gives the HP Sport far more mileage than its aftermarket competitors and the original equipment tyres," claims Steve Vickers, national sales manager of Cooper Tyres. "They are guaranteed for up to 60,000 km under certain conditions."
The HP Sport also has the strong tyre construction that has taken the reputation of Cooper 4WD tyres to new heights in Australia. Owners of the luxury 4WD models and the newer model crossover vehicles from Audi, Volvo and soon, Holden, Ford and Mitsubishi are seeking the ultimate in all round performance and the HP Sport is set to meet their demands.
