BASIC COURSE
The Basic Course consists of one three hour theory session followed by a full day in the forest within an hour's drive of Melbourne in small groups. Items covered include:
- Care for the environment
- Practice in stall stop and key start recovery
- Debogging
- Steep up and down hill
- River crossings
- Demonstrations of recovery equipment
- Different driving techniques
SPECIAL COURSES
The Special Courses usually consist of one theory night and a two day and one night camping or accommodation weekend as required, with emphasis placed on practicing the skills gained at our basic course. Special attention will be placed on your safety and care for the tracks and surroundings. Items covered include:
- Different driving techniques for sand, snow and mud (depending on the course you choose)
- All courses revise basic topics in greater depth
- Map reading
- Winching
- Chain fitting
- Safe wheel change operation
