BARRIERS HERE FOR NEW 4WD MODELS
Most of these 4WDs are selling exceptionally well due to their compact design and affordable price level and are destined for use as the family's second vehicle. In this guise, they are driven by parents carrying Australia's most valuable cargo - children. new Milford cargo barriers include the popular Hyundai Terracan, Mazda
Tribute, Nissan X-Trail and Ford's new Explorer and Escape models. There

Subaru's recently released 2002 Forester is another new 4WD barrier released by Milfords. Expected to outsell its predecessor, the Forester is a favourite with families and couples making holiday trips, especially in the outback.
Henry Mercieca acknowledges that many owners of larger 4WD vehicles, such as Landcruisers and Patrols, are more aware of cargo barrier benefits because they use the cargo area of their vehicles to transport heavy items like toolboxes, fridges and 4WD recovery gear. He believes many first-time 4WD buyers of vehicles such as the Tribute, Terracan, Escape and Forester, have owned only sedans and need to be educated about fitting an approved safety barrier.
"We have numerous well-documented cases of accidents where occupants of a vehicle were saved from injury, perhaps death, because an approved cargo barrier had been fitted," he said.
